This book pays homage to the reopening of 30, avenue Montaigne and the opening of La Galerie Dior, and shows the public an unprecedented history of the Haute Couture fashion house’s landmark headquarters.

30 Montaigne has been associated with Dior since 1946. Christian Dior chose this private hotel as the home of his fashion house and the backdrop for the presentation of his collections, including the very first fashion show in 1947, the beginning of the New Look era. Since then, Christian Dior and his successors, from Yves Saint Laurent to Maria Grazia Chiuri, have designed and created all of the fashion house’s collections there. The ateliers are still located at 30 Montaigne, making it a legendary address of Parisian Haute Couture.

Iconic photographs of Monsieur Dior at work in his studio, backstage fittings at the fashion shows, archival documents and a stunning portfolio of Dior creations give readers a feel for 30 Montaigne through the decades and a glimpse into the future.
